The Region

Municipality of Charlton and Dack
The Municipality of Charlton and Dack is a family-oriented community located along Highway 11 on the shores of Long Lake. With a small population of just over 600 residents, Charlton and Dack has become a great location for young families, retirees, and tourists.
The Municipality of Charlton & Dack attracts individuals from all over for their Canada Day Celebrations. The best firework show can be seen along the shores of Long Lake on July 1st.

Black River - Matheson
The Township of Black River-Matheson includes the communities of Holtyre, Matheson, Ramore, Shillington, and Val Gagné. Black River-Matheson has over 150 lakes and rivers across 300,000 acres, making it the perfect location for outdoor enthusiasts.
The Matheson OctoBEER Fest and the Matheson Fall Fair are great events held in the fall in Matheson!

Matachewan Township
Located at the end of highway 66, Matachewan is a quaint community with a population just over 250. The Montreal River lines this community, making it a great location for fishermen and hunters to explore.

Town of Kirkland Lake & Lebel Township
Over 7,500 residents call the Town of Kirkland Lake home! Kirkland Lake is a family-focused community, boasting great recreational amenities, and numerous indoor and outdoor activities.
A short drive east on Highway 66 will land you in Lebel Township, commonly known as King-Kirkland where another 350 residents reside. Some of the highlights include: the Museum of Northern History, the Joe Mavrinac Community Complex, and the Kirkland Lake Golf Club.

Township of McGarry-Virginiatown
The Township of McGarry is made up of the communities of Virginiatown and Kearns. Situated on the shores of Larder Lake, the communities’ amenities are enjoyed by their 600 residents and many visitors throughout the year.
Launch your watercraft at the Township of McGarry Boat Launch & Marina for a day of fishing or hop on your snowmobile and enjoy the abundance of OFSC trails in the area throughout the winter.

Township of Larder Lake
The Township of Larder Lake is located along Highway 66, between Gauthier and McGarry Townships. Over 700 residents call Larder Lake home, and it is no wonder why!
The shores of beautiful Larder Lake can be enjoyed at one of their two beaches, Larder Lake Beach and Raven Park Beach, and during the winter months, the Larder Lake Ski Hill is a great location for families to ski and snowboard.

Town of Englehart
Located on the Blanche River, Englehart is a family-friendly community for over 1,400 residents with great amenities for all to enjoy.
Kap Kig Iwan Provincial Park is just minutes away from Englehart and is one of the best locations for camping, hiking to the waterfalls, and winter activities like snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Township of Gauthier - Dobie
The Township of Gauthier is home to just under 140 residents, mostly centered in the small community of Dobie.
Located within Gauthier Township, Crystal Beach is one of the best beaches around! With its crystal-clear water and beautiful sandy beach, it is the perfect location for a summer afternoon in the sun.
